Rick Williams

Founder | CEO

Good morning, afternoon, or night—depending on when you’ve landed here! I’m Rick Williams, founder and CEO of CloudSmart IT. The title might say “CEO,” but at heart, I’m just a guy who believes in showing up, serving well, and keeping things real. Whether I’m answering questions, taking out the office trash, or solving complex IT challenges, I’m here to help—blue jeans and all.

I’ve always believed that experience is earned, not handed out in a diploma. While I did attend Lipscomb University, most of what I know came from rolling up my sleeves and learning in the field. Since moving to Nashville in 2000, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless business owners—helping them untangle their tech, strengthen their teams, and focus on what matters most.

My journey with technology started at 15, when my dad brought me to a warehouse full of broken printers. Something clicked. I began tearing them apart, putting them back together, and shipping them out like new. That first spark led me to sales, entrepreneurship, and eventually to starting my own company—first Nerds on the Go, then rebranded to Techopoly, Inc., inspired by my love of collecting Monopoly games. It was a business I poured myself into and eventually sold in 2012.

In 2015, I launched CloudSmart IT—not just to fix computers, but to lift the burden of IT off people’s shoulders. I wanted to bring cloud solutions and real support to everyday business owners, with a spirit of care and clarity. Our mission is simple: Big IT power. Small business heart. We deliver enterprise-grade technology with a people-first mindset—because business runs on IT, but IT should never run your business.

Outside of work, I’m a proud dad to two amazing kids, Anna and Asa. I find peace on the water—whether I’m at the lake or the beach, toes in the sand, reconnecting with God. I love dancing, too—you might even catch me out on the dance floor just grooving to the music. Life’s too short not to find joy where you can.

At the end of the day, CloudSmart IT is about serving people with kindness, solving problems with wisdom, and showing up with heart. If that resonates with you, let’s grab coffee sometime—I’d love to hear your story.

Luis Salazar

Support Engineer

Hey there! My name’s Luis Salazar and I’m a proud family man with a passion for IT. Before venturing into IT I spent many years in the Air Force, which is where I picked up the IT bug (but not the millennium bug, so don’t worry)! After this I was the Network Engineer for a nationally recognized public library system for 12 years.

I joined CloudSmart IT in December 2019 as a Support Engineer, where most of my days involve helping people solve their technical problems. As a member of the Harpeth Hills Church of Christ I genuinely love to help others, so this role blends many of my passions together. While I’ve been with CloudSmart IT I’ve had the privilege of getting to know the company’s founder and CEO Rick Williams, which has been a pleasure.

In my spare time, I love to spend my weekends, evenings, and holidays with my family. My wife Rosanna and I have been married for over 40 wonderful years, and we have raised two daughters who have given us the joys of seven grandchildren. We love to play cornhole, study the Bible, and just generally leave the world’s stressors behind as we relax in each other’s company.

Ajay Narasimhan

Systems Engineer

Hello everyone! My name is Ajay Narasimhan, and I am deeply passionate about the IT industry. My fascination with technology began early in life, inspired by movies like Terminator and Jurassic Park, which sparked my curiosity and drive to learn more about IT.

I thrive on solving problems and writing code, and over the years, I have amassed experience in the healthcare, financial, and biometrics industries. Currently, I am proud to be a part of CloudSmartIT as an IT Systems Engineer. I hold a master’s degree in Information Systems, which has equipped me with a strong foundation and an innovative approach to my work.

When I’m not immersed in the world of technology, I cherish spending time with my family. My wife and my baby are my universe. Outside of family time, you can find me reading tech forums to stay updated with the latest trends and playing video games to unwind.

I look forward to connecting with you and exploring how we can leverage technology to achieve great things together

Linda Brock

Bookkeeper & Billing

Hi there! My name is Linda Brock, and I love details, especially when words and numbers are involved. While attending Lipscomb University, I started typesetting for a graphic design firm, a job I kept for several years after I graduated. After my first child was born, I bought the typesetting portion of the business. I ran the business from my home for a few years and then moved into an office after my fourth child got older.

After closing the company, I began a career as a proofreader, which launched my interest in book publishing. Along the way, I developed an interest in financial administration, working for a CPA for a while and then handling the finances for the church I was attending. It was through my acquaintance with a former coworker, an employee of Rick’s, that I was able to interview for the bookkeeping job at CloudSmart IT. I genuinely enjoy helping Rick take care of the financial side of the business, including billing, accounts payable, bookkeeping, payroll, monthly reports, and whatever else comes up. My love for books continues, and I still edit books as a freelancer. After self-publishing my book God Is My Second Husband after my divorce in 2011, I became interested in helping people publish their books on Amazon and Ingram Spark.

Outside of work, my greatest joy is my fifteen grandchildren. I owe a special thanks to my four beautiful daughters and their husbands for the life I get to live with their offspring. As I’ve told them, love doesn’t divide; it multiplies.
